Village Candy primarily relies on United Parcel Service and the U.S. Postal Service for delivery, as they are efficient and packages can be tracked while in transit. If you would like a different shipping method, please let us know by contacting Customer Service. Unlike many other companies on the web, we only bill for actual shipping charges, and do not add in profit or handling fees.
All merchandise ships directly from our Village Candy location in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, just down the Ohio River from, and northwest of, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Since all orders originate from our one store, we cannot guarantee that any product we sell has not been in contact with dairy, nuts and/or byproducts
We guarantee every item you purchase to be fresh, factory-sealed and of the highest quality. Merchandise may be delivered in boxes that may not reflect contents.
If all products in your order are in stock, orders are shipped in the order received and usually within 48 hours. Should your order take longer to process due to merchandise availability or weather concerns, you will be notified by email.
If you are in need of timely delivery, we encourage you to choose expedited service.
In the event you purchase an expedited or rush service option, your order will ship the day it is received unless it is received after 3:30 PM Eastern Standard Time in which case it will ship the following business day.
Although we try to ship orders promptly, we strongly suggest that you notify us if you have specific delivery needs. In the event that you are in need of a more precise delivery deadline, please contact Village Candy and opt for an expedited shipping option or make a notation within the NOTES section of the ordering process.
Unless expedited shipping is chosen, we are not able to guarantee a specific date of delivery and will not issue refunds for orders not received within a specific deadline.
If your order is for a large quantity or specialty candy, there may be a delay and you will be contacted by Customer Service whom will do their best to give an estimated time of arrival.

Our web site is updated in real time to reflect our current inventory. In the rare event that a specific item you order is out of stock, we will notify you within 48 hours of placing your order. We will then ship the balance of your order - shipping on the balance will be at our expense. Unfortunately, we are not able to backorder items that are out of stock.
Your credit card will not be charged for your order until your items have actually shipped.

DO YOU SHIP OVERSEAS?
We currently do not ship overseas. Sorry.
THIRD PARTY DELIVERY:
We often ship to third party locations but ask that you be careful in providing an accurate address as United Parcel Service or the U.S. Postal Service may not be able to deliver otherwise. Please note that the purchaser is fully responsible for all shipping charges in the event that the third party refuses shipment or merchandise is not able to be delivered due to "receiver unavailability" as determined by carrier.
ISSUES RELATED TO DELIVERY:
We are not able to issue credit in the event that a package is stolen or misplaced after release by United Parcel Service or the U.S. Postal Service. In the event that a package is stolen, it will be the purchaser’s responsibility to file a claim with the appropriate legal entities and/or UPS or USPS.
If an order is refused at time of delivery, without prior authorization, the purchaser will be responsible for a twenty (20) percent restocking fee as well as the original shipping charge plus any charges related to the product being returned to our store.
We strongly encourage packages to be shipped to locations where they can be received and stored in a safe, secure location.
DAMAGES CAUSED BY INCLEMENT WEATHER:
Village Candy offers options such as ice packs for shipping in warm weather (Warm Weather Shipping) and it is up to the purchaser to choose an option that best meets their needs.
Village Candy LLC will not be held liable for any products damaged by extremes of temperature.
